Burnout Legends
Review

It's time to take to the road with the best of Burnout in Burnout Legends. Features all of the greatest game modes from the Burnout series; race, road rage, crash and even pursuit mode, Burnout Legends gives you all the action from the previous Burnout games along with all the best known tracks from the series and loads of legendary motors you remember mixed in with a whole load of new ones to make one of the most aggressive and destructive racing experiences available on the PSP and as much nitrous as you could possibly handle.

The main career mode in Burnout Legends is called Tour mode, which is divided into 5 different classes; Compact, Muscle, Coupe, Sport and Super. To progress through the Tour you need to finish in the top 3 of each race, winning either a gold, silver or bronze. At the end of each class there is a grand prix event that is made up of several races, winning this unlocks the next class.

The gameplay is as you would expect from a Burnout game, just because it's on PSP doesn't mean it has to be watered down, it's all their, the burnouts, takedowns, after touches and everything else; if anything it has more action that the console counterparts. Legends also features a great soundtrack, with a collection of the best music tracks from Burnout Revenge.

Burnout Legends also features a wireless multiplayer mode that should keep you going back for more, with up to 5 of your friends racing it out at blistering speeds; even if they don't have their own copy of the game, you can simply use the game share feature and send them a multiplayer client of the game so they can still race you. There is also 25 additional collectors cars on the game, you can unlock 5 of them in Tour mode by getting gold on each vehicle classes eliminator event, but the other 20 can only be won by racing other players who have a different copy of the game. As each copy contains 5 random cars from a pool of 20, then the 5th car in each class is given to you when you have the first four of that class, which is another great reason to keep beating your friends at races.

So Burnout Legends is surely one of the best racing games available on the PSP, featuring everything you would expect and then some, a must buy, even if you've never played a Burnout game before.
