Yooka-Laylee is an all-new platforming adventure in development by the creative talent behind Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country; coming to consoles and PC.
The game was announced by its kickstarter last week and has already raised over £1.3 million in the past five days, well past its original goal of £175,000 and has another 42 days to go.
The game is set to be a spiritual successor to their most cherished work from the past (Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong Country) and hope to create a "3D platform Rare-vival", with many of the developers at Playtonic games being ex-Rare employees who worked on the Banjo-Kazooie series. With over 40,000 backers to date it's clear to see that there is a massive audience for a sequel along the lines of Banjo-Kazooie and similar platforms of the era, many of which have since died out in the genre...
The game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, WiiU and PC when it finished and if you too are interested in supporting the game, check it out on kickstarter here and pick up a copy early.
